Just
this side of heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies
that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to The Rainbow
Bridge.
There are meadows
and hills for all of our special friends so that they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends there are warm
and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to
perfect health and vigor. Those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again just as we remember them
in our dreams of years and times gone by. The animals are happy and content
except for one small thing. They
each miss someone very special to them who had to stay behind when the beloved
pet went away.
They
all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks
up -- the bright eyes are intent, the body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group his body flying over the green grass, his legs hurrying faster
and faster. You have been spotted!
When you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in
joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The sweet loving kisses rain upon your
face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your dear pet, so long gone from your life but never absent
from your heart.
Then you cross the
Rainbow Bridge together.

Butterscotch

This is my first fuzzy. She was a
snob and bossy. She was independent. She loved treats
and she knew how to steal them. She will always be my sweetheart.
Lucky Bunny's Oreilles

This was my first Rhinelander. He was a
gift from Lisa Saunders at the 1999 ARBA Convention in Louisville, KY.
I named him Oreilles, which is French for ears. He was a sweet boy
that loved to escape. He did it regularly. Sadly, he did not
remain with me long. However, he gave me my DD before he left and
it made me eternally grateful.
Peanut Butter
"Peanut"

This is my heart. My mom had run to
Bolten's Turkey Market for some grocery items and she saw a 'For Sale'
sign and some bunnies with their mom. My first rabbit had just
died the previous fall. I saw Peanut and fell in love. He
was so small-he fit in a shoebox as a bed and by the end of the week he
was too big. He grew to 8 pounds quickly and was my baby. He
would follow me around the yard-no leash or fence needed. He would
explore and would come when called. He loved to say hello to all
other bunnies. When I went to college he was not happy. My mom
would bring him to shows so I could see him and when he saw me she would
let him out and he would run to me. If my hands were full I would
not need to pick him up, he would just follow along. As he got
older, he got arthritis in his back legs, but he kept going until it got
too bad and I had to put him to sleep after 11.5 wonderful years
together.
Sable

Sable entered my life with her brother
Sarge when I was 5. She loved my grandfather and was actually
jealous of my grandmother. This is a picture of her on his lap.
She loved to lay on anyone if they had the blue blanket.
Sarge

Sarge was Sable's brother. He was the
carefree one of the relationship. He let us do anything to
him-including dress up in baby clothes. He would come when called
even if it was across the field. He passed in 2002 right after the
New Year after being diagnosed with Feline AIDS.
Julia's BB
BB was a sweet fuzzy lop boy that I bred.
Julia's Daddy's Dynasty
"DD"

DD is the baby of Oreilles. He was a
beautiful man that had over 15 grand champion legs. He had such
personality and would get annoyed at the littlest things. A dirty
show table, me not being around the show table, etc. He was a
spoiled little boy.
Squeakers

Squeakers was my 'sister'. She saw
it like that. She loved to talk thus the name. She would
squeak, meow, etc to my mom and I nonstop. The last picture is her
with her lion. She had many stuffed animals that she would play
with and her favorite was the lion. She would also tell my mom
when I wasn't home when she thought I should be.
